Dr. Placke was born into a farm loving family surrounded by animals from birth, in a small city (Saint Libory) Nebraska. He also brings decades of veterinary experience to Raintree Animal Health Center. He attended undergrad at University of Nebraska-Lincoln and finished his education at Kansas State University for his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2004, he worked in various hospitals in Missouri and Nebraska. In 2008 he and his wife kim started Raintree in a shopping center. They relocated the hospital to its current location in 2013 and completed a full remodel in 2023. For 12 years Dr.Placke served on the KCVMA (Kansas City Veterinary Secretary - Medical Association) as the Secretary-Treasurer, the Vice President, and finally in 2018 was President. He retired from the board, but remains an active member and enjoys learning about new medical advancements. Dr. Placke brings a passion for medicine and surgery to the hospital. He puts a strong emphasis on quality nutrition and preventative care. Dr.Placke enjoys the unique challenges each case brings, and has a keen interest in soft tissue, orthopedic surgeries, and internal medicine. When he isn’t taking care of patients, he enjoys watching Nebraska football, trout fishing, and spending time with his wife, Kim, and their two children Tagen (daughter) and Bennett (son). He is active in boy scouts and loves spending time on his tractors working on their small cattle farm in Peculiar MO.

Dr. Chambers grew up in Raymore, MO. She has always had a passion for science and animals which confirmed her dream career path of becoming a veterinarian in second grade. Before veterinary school, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Northwest Missouri State University in 2017. She is now a member of the AVMA & KCVMA. She graduated from the University of Missouri with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in April 2022. She first joined our team in May of 2017 as a Veterinary Technician, so you may recognize her. Dr.Chambers has a special interest in small animal ophthalmology and dermatology for which she completed internships with local specialists. One of her favorite aspects of being a veterinarian is building a relationship with clients and patients. Dr.Chambers met her husband, Jake, during her undergrad and they got married in September 2022. Together they own a golden retriever, Malcolm, and two cats named Creed & Lilly. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, running and snuggling with her pets.

Dr. DeLuke earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2004. She completed her clinical training at the University of Missouri and then pursued a small animal rotating internship at Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty Center in Tucson, AZ. Dr. DeLuke continued working as an Emergency Doctor in Tucson for several years, and during this time she discovered her passion for surgery. Dr. DeLuke returned to the Midwest and completed a small animal surgery residency at Mission MedVet in Mission, KS. Prior to joining MOVES in the spring of 2019, she performed countless surgeries to save or improve the lives of animals at referral hospitals in Saint Louis and Kansas City. Dr. DeLuke is trained in soft tissue, orthopedic and neurologic surgery, with special interests in oncologic surgery and cranial cruciate ligament surgery.
